Sallie's Shrimp Dip

Apologies for not blogging lately.  It has been very busy around here!  I am, however, taking a break from laundry/lesson planning/movie watching to share a recipe with you.

This is a recipe that is from my mother-in-law Sallie, who makes it as an appetizer for get-togethers.  We had it the other day with a variety of other appetizers for football watching.  This would be a great one to try with the holiday's quickly approaching and friends and family visiting.

Sallie's Shrimp Dip

You will need:
1 block of cream cheese
cocktail sauce
1 can of baby shrimp
lemon juice
Worcestershire sauce

Directions
Rinse the baby shrimp.  Then in a small bowl, mash up the shrimp.  Add about 1/2 - 2/3 of the bottle of cocktail sauce to the shrimp.  Add a dash of lemon juice and a dash of the Worcestershire sauce.  Mix this together well and cover.  Let sit in the fridge until you are ready to serve it.

To serve, pour shrimp mixture over the cream cheese.

ENJOY!

  1. Looks perfect! Actually it was my Mom who made the dip the first time I ever had it ages ago.
