Homemade Chicago Style Pizza

Warning!  This recipe is so not good for you!  But, it is soooooo delicious!  By far, this is my husband's favorite meal I cook.  It is also requested by several family members when they come to visit.  We usually reserve it for special occasions.  At least, it is better for you than ordering out greasy pizza.  This is a guaranteed crowd pleaser!

Chicago Style Pizza
You will need:
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed (We use Rhodes)
1 lb. hot Italian sausage
8 oz. 2% mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 sliced mushrooms
1 medium sweet onion, diced
1 28 oz. can petite diced tomatoes, drained
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Press pizza dough into a 13 in. X 9 in. baking dish.  Using a large skillet cook the sausage over medium heat until cooked through.  Drain meat and spread over pizza dough.  Add mozzarella cheese over the meat.  Using the same large skillet, saute mushrooms for about 3-4 minutest and then add in the onions and cook until they are tender.  Add in the tomatoes and Italian seasoning, mixing well.  Spread the mushroom, onion, and tomato mixture over the mozzarella cheese.  Top with grated Parmesan cheese.  Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
