DIY Cross Stitch Marker Art

I came across these pictures on pinterest, and it inspired me to do this little afternoon craft.  It turns out, it's easy, it's cheap, and the pattern possibilities are endless!  Plus, I love how it turned out!

I was inspired by over sized cross stitch :

So, with my inspiration, this is what I decided to do!

For supplies, I used markers, computer paper, graph paper printed from here.  For the graph paper, I used the eight lines per inch and heavy index lines on letter-sized paper.  You also need a cross stitch pattern.  You can use any you want.  I used this one by Kell Smurthwaite and Kincavel Krosses.

I just followed the pattern and colors.  I used the graph paper behind the computer sheet as a template and tried my best to stay within the lines of the squares.  Here is a close up look.

You could frame your artwork, use it in scrap booking or card making, journaling, so many possibilities!
