Step 1: Organize your supplies.
You will need your DVDs. Part of my organization was to alphabetize them, so I worked on them in groups. My first batch was #'s, A's, B's, C's, and D's.
These are the supplies I used. DVD/CD Sleeves were for storing the DVDs. I used the index cards and the note tabs to create my alphabetized dividers. I also used a sharpie, scissors, and tape throughout the project.
Also, I needed a new storage container. I chose baskets. I bought extra, so our DVD collection could still grow and I would know that the baskets would match. This was one big basket that in the end held our DVD collection of almost 200, with room to go!
Step 2: Create divider for basket storage.
The basket I chose, was one big basket, so I decided I needed to create a divider, so I could store DVDs on both sides of the basket. To make the divider, I used an old cereal box and some cute herringbone print scrapbook paper. I just cut the cereal box to fit and then used tape to attach the scrapbook paper to the cereal box. It fit perfectly!
Step 3: Cut, tape, repeat.
Step 4: You're done!
